Healthwatch Cambridgeshire and Peterborough want to hear from young people between the ages of 16 to 25 years who are interested in and have something to say about health and care services they use in the area– that could be your school nurse, your GP, your local hospital, or any support services you use.

We want to give you a chance to improve these local services by giving you a voice so that you can be part of discussions including recommendations and suggestions around improvements to these services and shaping them to suit your needs now and in the future.

What do you do as a Youthwatch Volunteer?

Youthwatch volunteers promote Healthwatch to friends, students, schools, youth groups by: 

  • Develop projects that meaningful to you. 

  • Develop campaigns. 

  • Develop surveys. 

  • Research topics.

  • Deliver key messages and recommendations for improvements to service providers. 

  • Create videos and/ or podcasts. 

what are the benefits of becoming a youthwatch volunteer?
  • Build confidence. 

  • Build organisation skills. 

  • Meet people and make new friends. 

  • Improve communication and listening skills. 

  • Develop teamwork. 

  • Gain experience to include in your CV. (You may want to work in the NHS or social care sector). 

Our Youthwatch meet online every 3-4 weeks online to discuss health and care issues that concern you, as well as work on ongoing projects.
