Field House Care Home Enter and View Report
As part of our statutory role, trained Healthwatch Authorised Representatives visited the service to observe care delivery, speak with residents, relatives and staff, and identify areas of good practice alongside opportunities for improvement. The report outlines the findings from the visit, recommendations made, and responses from the service provider.
As part of our work at Healthwatch we are required to carry out Enter and View visits to health and social care services across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. These visits are carried out by trained Authorised Representatives to observe how services are delivered, speak with residents, families, carers and staff, and identify areas where improvements could be made, alongside examples of good practice.
Enter and View powers are set out in the Health and Social Care Act and allow local Healthwatch representatives to visit services including care homes, hospitals, GP practices, dental surgeries, optometrists and pharmacies.
This visit to Field House Care Home in Spalding, Peterborough formed part of our ongoing statutory work to understand people’s experiences of care and to help improve local services through independent observation and feedback. During the visit, representatives spoke with residents, staff, relatives and health professionals, while also observing the care environment, day-to-day interactions and aspects of resident experience within the home.
The report includes observations made during the visit, feedback gathered on the day, recommendations for improvement, and responses from the service provider and Healthwatch following our visit.
