Have you, or someone you care for, received ambulance care following a fall? Your experiences could help improve how ambulance services respond to falls, making a real difference for patients and carers in the future.

The East of England Ambulance Service, Yorkshire Ambulance Service, University of Hertfordshire, Teesside University, and University of East Anglia are working together on a study to improve patient and carer experiences of ambulance care after a fall.

Why Take Part?

Your input matters. By sharing your views and experiences, you can:

  • Help improve ambulance care research– your feedback will directly inform how studies are designed and delivered. The main aim of the proposed study is to improve ambulance patient care following a fall.
  • Influence research design – you’ll help shape how the study is run, including recruitment, data collection, and participant information.
  • Make sure patient voices are heard – your experiences, as a patient or carer, are crucial to understanding real-life needs and challenges.
  • Contribute to meaningful change – research informed by people with lived experience is more likely to lead to improvements in care and safety for others.

Who Can Get Involved?

We are looking for:

  • Individuals who have received ambulance care following a fall, and/or their carers
  • Individuals who have received ambulance care and are prescribed multiple medications

How You Can Help

Activities include:

  • Attending up to three online study meetings
  • Helping design study recruitment and data collection methods
  • Assisting in the development of participant documentation

There is also the opportunity to become a study co-applicant, taking a more active role in guiding the research.
