Wendy Stroud and Charlotte Dungate came and explained the role of social prescribers.

This month's topics included a discussion on fuel poverty with local environmental charity PECT. 

People are described as being in fuel poverty if they spend 10% or more of their income on fuel.

PECT can help people with energy saving tips/advice, switching to cheaper providers and grants towards home insulation.

Kate Blackwell from Care Network told us about new services running in the Peterborough area.

These help local people affected by low mood, social anxiety and isolation.

Eileen Murphy from North West Anglia Foundation Trust outlined a new rapid diagnostic service being piloted at Peterborough City Hospital.

We also heard about the new Integrated Care System that will come into being next April. Jane Coulson from the CCG talked about how this new umbrella organisation aims to join up care across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.  And will bring together hospital trusts, GPs, local authorities and voluntary organisations.
