A thought provoking theatre production that tells the story of one woman and her family’s attempt to navigate the complex system of older people’s care.
Phyllis, 80, was managing at home with the help of her family. On one of her daily trips to the shops, she falls and ends up in hospital.
In this play by award winning theatre company Women & Theatre, we see Phyllis’ decline and her family’s struggle to navigate health and social care systems.
Developed from research with patients, family members, health and social care professionals, the play highlights the challenges many face.
Phyllis was originally commissioned by Birmingham and Solihull Sustainability and Transformation Partnership. We are able to bring it here for you with thanks to funding from Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Clinical Commissioning Group.
The performance lasts 50 minutes (approx) and is followed by a post show discussion. You will be able to share your thoughts and experiences of older people’s care.
Please let us know if you need information in a different format, for example, a British Sign Language Interpreter.
Tickets free but must be booked in advance.
